Le Festival de la Gargouille est un organisme sans but lucratif qui est implanté dans la municipalité de Saint-Narcisse depuis 1983 . Le festival s’étend habituellement sur deux fins de semaine, soit la dernière de juin et la première de juillet. À noter que depuis quelques années, la fête de la Saint-Jean-Baptiste est intégrée à la programmation. Chaque année, les activités sont variées.

Ainsi au fil des ans, se sont succédé : gala mini-star, lypsing, rodéo, pièce de théâtre, olympiades de pompiers, journée familiale, tournoi de balle, rallye, karaoké, hockey, le bar chez Pee-Wee, sans oublier ce qui fait la renommée du festival, la démolition qui attire des milliers de gens d’un peu partout dans la région. Les profits du festival sont investis par la suite dans la municipalité, soit auprès d’organismes sans but lucratif (patinage, artistique, hockey mineur, Chevaliers de Colomb, Fête des 18 ans, etc.) ou bien dans la réalisation de projet comme le centre communautaire et le complexe sportif. Le Festival de la Gargouille est pour bien des gens un moment important de l’année où tous les citoyens de St-Narcisse et d’ailleurs se retrouvent pour fraterniser entre eux. Au fil des années, le festival a bien changé.
